(A) My Town Photo写真展／屋久島住民

明治時代から昭和にかけての安房の写真と Y.P.F program MY TOWN PHOTOで制作した安房在住の方たちによる作品を安房川沿いに展示。
島民が大切にしてきた、大切にしていきたい景色をご覧ください。

Remembering the Past of Anbo Exhibit

Photos of Anbo from the early to mid 20th century join current photos taken by the residents of Anbo for this exhibit on the bank of the Anbo River. This is an opportunity to see the heritage of scenery that islanders have cherished for generations and wish to preserve for their children.

(B) 屋久島ファウンドフォト写真展／渡部さとる

かつての屋久島をテーマに、東京在住の写真家・渡部さとる氏によるファウンディング写真を展示。改めて見つめ直し、過去から未来へと繋げる写真展。

Remembering the Past of Yakushima Exhibit

Satoru Watabé presents photos from the bygone days of Yakushima, once the most prosperous community in Yakushima. Mr. Watabé brings these photos together so that we can revel once again at the glory of the past, and wonder we will connect it to the future.

(C) 口永良部島写真展／協力：口永良部島写真展実行委員会

2015年5月から、噴火のために屋久島にて避難生活を余儀なくされた口永良部島の方々による故郷に思いを馳せた未来に向けての写真展。

※YPFと同時期間に開催される「口永良部島写真展」の巡回展について記載しています。

Exhibit from the Island of Kuchi-no-Erabu Island

The people of the island of Kuchi-no-Erabu have been living as evacuees in Yakushima since May of 2015, when a volcanic eruption forced them to leave their piece of paradise. This exhibit is a chance to both reflect on their home town, and think about the future.

(F)はにい窯写真展／　大野雅人

豊かな水と息づく千古の森屋久島。この自然の懐に抱かれるように暮らし、樹々や土、岩などを使い薪窯による焼き締めの器を作り、さまざまな自然のいのちが生かされることを願いながら使いやすく楽しめるやきものを求めてる陶芸作家・山下正行氏の「はにい窯」の写真展。撮影は愛知県在住の大野雅人氏。

Hanaii Kiln Photo Exhibit

Masayuki Yamashita is a ceramic artist creating unique pottery that is easy to use and enjoy. Living on this island of abundant waters and forests of eternal breath, in the bozum of nature, he uses trees, earth, and rocks to create vessels in a wood-burning kiln. On this occasion, Masato Ono, a photographer working out of Nagoya, exhibits photos focusing on the Hanii Kiln.

(G)丸勝水産写真展／千々岩孝道

屋久島、北、一湊に位置する丸勝水産は大量生産ではなく、一つ一つの品に心を込めるべく屋久島唯一である昔ながらの【古式直火窯製法】を守り、島の大自然の恩恵を受けた食文化を誇りに製造し続ける水産工場を撮り続ける屋久島在住の写真家・千々岩孝道による写真展。

Marukatu Marine Products Exhibit

Situated in the northern community of Isso, Marusho is Yakushima's only producer still running a traditional direct-heat furnace. They take pride in handling each product individually instead of mass-producing and in the food culture that has grown out of the island's bountiful nature. On this occasion, we present an exhibit by Kodo Chijiiwa, a photographer based in Yakushima.

(K) 上田義彦写真展「Materia」「M.River」

上田義彦氏が命の大元（おおもと）を撮影しようと試みた Materiaシリーズの「M.River」は２０１３年に世界の１０冊として「ten photo books 2013」に選ばれました。
その命の根元に迫る「Materia」と「M.River」の作品を実際に撮影した自然休養林ヤクスギランド入口の森泉２Ｆと10月25日には森の中にて展示します。
※Materiaはラテン語で「木の幹」「新しい生命を生む力」という意味を持つ。

Ueda Yoshihiko Exhibit

M. River, a book in the Materia series, is the product of Yoshihiko Ueda's attempts to photograph the "Great Source of Life" (Inochi no Ohmoto). This book made the worldwide list of "Ten Photo Books, 2013. " Works featured in Materia and M. River are displayed in the location where they were shot, Yakusugiland Recreational Forest.Materia is a Latin word that includes the meanings of "tree trunk" and the "power to deliver new life."

Extracts of a work of personalities portraits for the French daily press. These few images illustrate the diversity in the ancestral exercise of portrait. If a portrait consists in revealing the character of a subject, its faithful representation is somewhat secondary, because beyond the idea to immobilize the memory of a person or seeking to create a historical image. The true purpose of portrait photography, especially when applied to the press, is to provide a simple emotion to the reader, to arouse its curiosity, retain its look and discovers some details that contribute to give an idea of the subject's identity. It is a pity that at all costs, we are more and more looking to reduce the blemishes that mark a face because in retracting them, photography becomes deceitful. Some media more than others offer the photographers a space of freedom in the expression of their knowledge with each its own vocabulary. The real luxury for a photographer is to accomplish a personal work within the framework of an order. It is the case here. Portraits essentially realized for the daily paper Liberation between 1990 and 2005.
